I decided to use the image of Sierra Kusterbeck as a poster feature as she's a leading female 'icon' that girls would look up to. The powerful lighting in the photograph backs this idea up, and shows 'status'. I chose this to be bigger than the main feature on the contents page because I wanted to englarge the thumbnail from the front page so that when flicking through before deciding to buy, people will see the good quality image larger, rather than needing to pull the poster out from the middle of the magazine. This I found effective, as it also added colour and structure to the layout of the contents page.
