I have chosen the name Pandora for my music magazine because when Pandora's box was opened, it caused chaos. I feel like this would be appropriate for a rock magazine because when you open it it releases a whole new world of music information, gossip and pictures. The idea of Pandora also has connotations of a female audience, and the idea of chaos being created links back to the genre of music that I want my music magazine to specialise in (rock).
I started to play around with a few fonts and with my chosen colour scheme (pink white and black). I started to think about what fonts had connotations of a strong female audience. I chose these 4 fonts for different reasons.

Font 1: I chose this font because it's very feminine, the curls and spirals give you the idea of a feminine magazine.
Font 2: It's not femenine, but it's strong and powerful- I can always use colours to show that the magazine is for girls.
Font 3: I like this font as it has a circus feel to it- sort of dangerous glamour, I suppose. It's strong but has small details in it which gives you the impression that the magazine is for girls. It's easy to read and is in capital letters which has strong connotations of loud, eccentric music.
Font 4: Has a feminine feel to it, but isn't particularly effective, however I do like the curves and how neat this font is.
